Our love story began 8 years ago. We met at a local shopping mall through mutual friends. We both were very quiet but the (best man) made things work and we dated from then on.
My Husband proposed to me in the beautiful garden setting of Makarsnga Lodge, with a waterfall in the background. It was a place we went to before, a few years back, I just mentioned to him on how that place would be nice for someone to get proposed to and sure enough...he remembered that clearly.
There were many aspects and highlights to our Wedding day but, the best was sharing our special day with close family and friends, having the best times of our new beginnings together!
We went on an amazing road trip through South Africa, driving through the garden route and exploring the beautiful places our country has to offer!
I aspired to be a classic bride, with long lace sleeves and a sweetheart top with an A line skirt and a long dramatic veil with lace edging to top it off. My hair was plaited into a beautiful up do and I had sparkly, dangling earrings. My makeup was natural and made me feel the most beautiful I have ever felt, I felt like Grace Kelly!
I had a traditional white wedding, the ceremony was held in my Catholic Church and the reception was held at the Kloof Country Club, only a stone throw away from the church.

I did not have a bridal beauty regime. I just made sure my hair was coloured the way I wanted and I tried to diet a bit with some gym.
My decor was simple and elegant. I did not want overpowering decorations. My centre pieces were beautiful proteas and greenery. I went for a more rustic feel.
The groom wore a classic black tux with a black tie of course! The groomsmen wore matching purple ties with a black tux. The suits were hired from Debonair suit hire.
My bridesmaids wore beautiful long flowy dresses all in different shades of purple. Their hair styles were loose curls and flowers in their hair. The look came from what I visioned for them.
We did not have a marriage officer. We were married by our Priest inside our Catholic Church, all legal documents were completed by the Deacon and ourselves.
I did not have a wedding planner to coordinate my day. I had family and friends to help and it worked out beautifully.
My wedding transport was a luxurious Audi A8 which my husband organised.
Kloof Country Club prepared all of our delicious food and my stunning cake was made by a friend.
My sister in law designed our Wedding invites and all other stationery was designed by myself.
The reception party was amazing. Our first dance was beautiful thanks to our dancing coach. All the guests danced the night away! Thanks to our Dj Extreme the music kept the party alive and the guests entertained.
