The morning of our wedding a heavy storm hit. It cleared up as the guest started to arrive and it was absolutely breathtaking thereafter! As they say rain sends blessings and it was an absolute day of blessings. On this day I married my best friend and the journey up until now has been amazing. Everything ran according to plan and our guests enjoyed themselves so much that we had to extend our time for the reception hire. But it was all worth it! I would do it all over again.
For our honeymoon we went to Zanzibar. At that time it was their rainy season but we enjoyed our time nonetheless. It was 4 days of relaxing and enjoying each other while exploring what the island had to offer.
Jade Customized Events was my wedding planners and they did an outstanding job. The look and feel of my wedding was elegant and stylish. The colors were pastels with a dash of plum. My hair was done by Florrence by Bang Hair. I went for an up style hair look as I wanted to show off my dress. My make up was done by Qaania, owner of OnQ Makeup. I wanted something very natural with an accent lip colour and she did a great job. My wedding dress was made by Euro Bride. I wanted a WOW dress. She asked me for 5 of my choices each of which didn't do it for me. She made me fit on a dress that she thought would look nice on me, and to my surprise THAT WAS THE ONE (keeping in mind, non of my styles were princess). Lingerie from La Senza and jewelry and accessories from Lovisa.
We got married at Ashanti Estate which is located in the Paarl region of the Western Cape. A few guests stayed over in nearby Lodges and hotels. The evening of the wedding my husband and I stayed over at Cascade Manor which wasn't to far from the venue.
A unique destination, nestled in the picturesque Paarl valley beneath the peaks of the Klein Drakenstein Mountain Range.
No serious beauty regime was followed besides the personal diets to weight loss.
My husbands suit was made by a close friend who has a suit line called GD suits while the groomsman were fitted with hired pants and gifted with matching Shirts, suspenders and socks.
My bridesmaid wore a comfortable float dress. I got the idea for the dresses from Pinterest and got it made by my cousin Monique who has her own clothing line Danni Clothing which specializes in female formalwear.

The food was prepared in house by the venue while my wedding cake was designed and made by Wade's Cakes. the taste of meal and desert thereafter sold out and was one of the highlights of the evening

We winged our first dance to Say you won't let go, James Athur. We enjoyed th dance and took it as it came. Our DJ, Garth B, was a gift to us from a close friend. He played all the favorites and our guests and us had an amazing time on the dance floor.
