Megan Palm

Married on Mar 9, 2017 in Gauteng

Our story began with our first glance at the young age of three months old :) We spent our days with laughter, crying and pinching ;) At the age of eight, we were separated by oceans and continents, opposite ends of the world for fourteen years. However, God in His infinite wisdom brought us back together and the rest as they say, 'is history.' Planning our wedding ourselves was such fun and a challenge, with a goal budget and lots of DIY intentions. Our BIG day was spent with seventy guests, comprising of our closest family and friends. Thank you to everyone one of you for all your support and help through our journey.
A big thank you to Makiti (Muldersdrift) for hosting our wedding in their beautiful Sunset Venue Chapel and Reception Hall. We strove for a classy, sophisticated atmosphere with touches of nature's greenery and flowers. My dress was completely lace, with a non-traditional approach of a blush nude underlay but classy and unique. It was my dream wedding dress and thank you to Bridezilla for making my dreams come true.
Our venue was so grand, with everything put together it felt like a fairytale castle. Our colours were champagne, silver, rose gold, cream, eucalyptus and ivy greens. Ivy and chandelier beading were draped on the large wrought iron chandeliers and wall sconces(thanks mom for letting me cut your ivy from the garden ;) We invested in a lot of our own diy touches, making sure everything reflected our tastes and desires. We did everything ourselves from the invitations, to menus, candle holders, beaded decor, serviette rings, gift favors etc and it was incredibly rewarding. Our mini cake decorations we also hand created and my mom(thank you for your patience xoxo) and I created our very own rice crispie cake for a fun twist but it was stunning and unique. Our favors were even unique, a touch of Greek, thanks to my mother in laws expertise ;) We created such memories by doing everything ourselves and we wouldn't go back and do anything differently. A special thank you to my groom, who put up with all the diy and really and truly helped with absolutely everything. A lot of the brides end up making all the decisions and planning themselves but i can truly say I am blessed as he was with me through thick and thin and we had such fun. I love you with all my heart xoxo God is our foundation, always has been and always will be. We strove to represent our Lord and Savior on our BIG day and we hope we have made Him proud. We waited many years for our BIG day and have given it our all, we wouldn't change a thing and cannot wait to share our love and memories with our children someday God willing.
