How did your love story begin?

It started in school we were best friends for many years we did life travelled and went to opposite ends of the earth and 7 years after leaving school. We went to a braai and his words were "why didn't I marry you so many years ago" and the rest is history! We have been through the best and the worst times and the most challenging times together but we have our history and love in common! And we so excited for the fun our future holds

Tell us all about the proposal.

He took me home to Zimbabwe to my favorite place with all my favorite people, strolled to the top of a mountain and tripped onto his knee ha ha "you never too old to graze your knee"

Magical Moments

We had our day at our beautiful holiday home on the banks of Albert Falls Dam(while sadly its almost a mud puddle now) we had our favorite people in our favorite places. Overall our wedding was an entire highlight and such a blessing to us.

The Honeymoon

We went on a mini moon to view our beloved country, Nambiti Hills Game Reserve was such an incredible treat!!! Incredible staff breathtaking experience.

My Special Day

Well I'm a bit of a plain Jayne so just simple but tasteful was the look I was going for and most of all comfortable to be able to dance the night away!
Hair - 15 of us in one day by the magical Wendy from Head Girls
Make up by Juliet Martin and Volenti

The Venue

We got married on our lawn at our family holiday home, was a logistical challenge but so so much fun with 220 of our favorite people. On the beautiful banks of Albert Falls Dam.
Most guests stayed in the chalets at Bon Accorde or in and around the wartburg area.

Wedding Elements

We had to hire everything but we were truly blessed by all the best services, the suppliers all gave us the most affordable price but the best service! From tent to building our own stage/dance floor everyone pulled together and created a truly magnificent setting it was everything we dreamed of and more!!!
Decor - we did all our selves
Flowers - Coralees Florist Hillcrest

My Groom And His Groomsmen

Ooh the handsome men were pretty much dressed by woolies he he

Beautiful Bridesmaids

The aim for the bridesmaids were for all of them to feel beautiful and wow was I lucky they were all drop dead gorgeous. We had the dresses made for pure comfort to be able to move easily and just dance and have fun.

Marriage Officer

Paul Taylor - Olive Tree Church Kloof

My Captured Moments

We were spoilt with choice we had the talented Chad Gregory as Photographer, Cara Michelle as Videographer and our photo booth was a massive hit from Aisle hire it we had an old school VW bus this was significant to us as my Husband works for the Alpine Group and as a bonus the bus was the colour of my bridesmaids dresses.

The Wedding Planner

I wouldn't have been able to do it without Ash and her team from Ash events and promotions, an incredible lady that stepped in to help and no mountain was too big or too small.

Wedding Transport

We created our own shuttle service with my father in laws 1990 Chevrolet Beauville Bus which the guests loved!!!

Food & Cake

Waxy O'Connors served our favorite Gourmet burgers with chips and onion rings on rustic wooden boards with personalized name tags for each guest. Along with our midnight munchies, the cake was made for a laugh with a car splashing mud all over the cake and what's a wedding without some wicked donuts of course.

Wedding Stationery

Lisa Meyer from Miss Ruby Designs and Tyrone from print Durban sat with me till early hours of the mornings working our all our personalized touches.

The Reception and Entertainment

Well this is my favorite part!!! We did lessons with our dancing teacher Margie, and the best part we had a Live band the most talented Angus that kept the party going until early hours of Sunday morning.
