My look was simple rustic.
I had a dream team. Airbrush Makeup was done by my good friend Nikkita. Long Waterfall Hair was by a family friend, Silke. Wedding gown is from Blissfully Bridal (life savers) My gown was a Kitty Chen gown, Cora to be exact.
I bought a pair of beige heels but decided on the day to rock a pair of cute brown leather pumps from Foschini. I forgot about accessories so one of my bridesmaids gave me a beautiful moonstone necklace to wear. White Undies from Lacy Lingerie and gown from Cotton On. My maid of honor gave me Marc Jacobs Daisy, Forever perfume on the day.
We got married at Meulstroom Lodge.
We had a weekend wedding, so most of the guests stayed over at the lodge with us.
My bridesmaids and I had a squat challenge in the beginning, but that quickly faded.
I tried to eat as healthy as possible near the end.
Decor was very rustic. The ceremony was outside next to the river, it was so beautiful and calming.
I had lots of greenery, as well as some maroon.
Everything was done by the venue.
Lights were hired from NiteLife
The groomsmen almost had me in tears. And they say women take long with shopping?
We got their brown leather shoes, navy blue pants, navy blue ties and light blue shirts from Woolworths.
I had belts made by Leather Bros.
Rob wore a navy blue suit from Edgars that he bought two days before the wedding.
My bridesmaids each wore a dress that suited their style, body and budget. My only request was that they wear dusty pink.
Our local pastor was our marriage officer
My photographer was flown down from Cape Town- the amazing Grethe Rosseaux. Second shooter was Derek Whitton.
Videography was done by my amazing cousins, one of which was also a bridesmaid.
We did not hire a planner. But the venues owner was also the coordinator
To the venue I drove my trusty Peugeot.
But on the day I was transported from the honeymoon suite where we all got ready to the ceremony by donkey cart. I had them wear cute flower crowns.
One again the venue handled the food. Its very much all-inclusive.
My amazing chef aunt from Mozambique and my chef cousin from Australia baked the cake, and it was DELICIOUS
Grethe, also my photographer, designed my invites.
My amazing maid of honor designed my website
Rob has some dance knowledge, I have zero.
But our awkward shuffle was as romantic as I always wished.
