The Honeymoon

We stayed at an amazing tented camp in St Lucia
The setting was gorgeous and tranquil, and the staff were brilliantly friendly

We are looking forward to returning to Monzi Safaris Tented Lodge

Wedding Gallery

The Venue

We had our ceremony and reception at Acacia at Tala Private Game Reserve in Camperdown, KZN
Acacia is a beautiful venue that has a wooden deck overlooking a popular watering hole
Roughly half of our guests stayed over at Tala Private Game Reserve
Originally we only had a hand full of guests stay over, but ended up with roughly half staying the night

My Bridal Beauty Regime

I had a long list of things I wanted to do, but just ran out of time
Planning a wedding alone is a lot of work!

My Groom And His Groomsmen

The groom and his best man wore amazing charcoal grey suits
Just Prom situated in Overport, Durban was the only rental store we could find that had the shade of grey that we were looking for

Beautiful Bridesmaids

My Maid of Honour wore a gorgeous strapless sweetheart empire line two tone dress that we had made.
The dress was charcoal grey with a lumo yellow lace (to match the wedding dress) covering the bust area

My Maid of Honour came to SA from England. She had chosen a style that she wanted but we couldn't start work on her dress until she arrived in the country, which was 5 days before the wedding. The day she arrived, we rushed to the dressmaker to get cracking with her dress, only for the Maid of Honour to see a different style that she preferred.

Our dressmaker was a miracle worker, she made a gorgeous dress from start to finish in less than a week!

Marriage Officer

Mervyn Singh from St john the Divine Church in Clark Road, Durban

My Captured Moments

Trent Saunders
He was the perfect photographer, he listened to what we wanted and he captured more than we could ever have imagined
Tala Private Game Reserve offers couples a game drive for the creative shoot, we couldn't pass up the opportunity.
The weather was slightly miserable on our wedding day but Trent made it work and gave us brilliant images.
We were meant to get 350 images but ended up getting 450 images.
Going through all those images brought back memories and gave us the opportunity to see moment sfrom a different angle or moments that we had missed

The Wedding Planner

We had a coordinator from the venue
Our original coordinator left the venue but had to assist with the weddings she had booked before leaving.
We weren't happy with her but were lucky enough to meet the venues new coordinator who was a rockstar.
She was always happy to help with a smile on her face, even when I was losing my cool and on the verge of a nervous breakdown.
The day went off without any hassles because of the rockstar coordinator.

Food & Cake

We were lucky enough to have the venue (Tala Private Game Reserve) do our catering
The food and presentation was AMAZING! I would do it all over again just for the food!

We had a Vegan cake that was made by Thobile from Divine Simplicity.
None of our guests knew that our cake was Vegan, none of them could believe it when we told them!
Thobile's cakes are without a doubt the best cakes ever! They are rich, moist and so full of flavour
