Magical Moments

The highlight of the day was seeing my husband to be waiting for me at the end of the isle. Everyone in the church was a complete blur. I only saw him and the massive smile on his face as I was walking towards him

My Special Day

I went for a very minimalistic look. My dress was a stunning mermaid style boobtube with beading and lace. I decided to only wear earrings and a bracelet.

I have always colored my hair and decided to go as red as possible so that there would be a wonderful contrast between the white of the dress and the red of my hair.

For the make up, I decided to have as little as possible done as I don’t normally wear make up and I prefer the natural look with just a few touches.

The Venue

The wedding ceremony took place at St Oswald’s Church in Milnerton with the reception at the Golf Club at Woodbridge Island. We had an unbelievable view of Table Mountain and the ocean!

My Bridal Beauty Regime

In the weeks leading up to the wedding I went for two Retinol Chemical Peels. It was the best thing that I could have done for my skin as it left my skin glowing and soft.

I tried eating as healthy as possible inbetween all the wedding stress.

The weekend before the wedding, I treated myself to a spa day with family and got some well deserved massages

Wedding Elements

Our wedding day decor was elegant and also had a minimalistic feel to it. We chose rose gold colors as my husband and I both love the color.

As my husband loves proteas, we decided to go with beautiful proteas on the tables in tall vases with eucalyptus and other fynbos in shorter vases. We also had some succulents on the tables. For my bridesmaids, instead of a bouquet, they had eucalyptus and babies breath flower crowns. My bouquet was made up of blushing brides and some eucalyptus.

My Groom And His Groomsmen

My husband and his groomsmen wore identical suits. The only extra for my husband was a bow tie and a waistcoat.

Beautiful Bridesmaids

My bridesmaids wore beautiful glowing skirts that my friend Zani made.

They looked stunning and the skirts complimented each bridesmaid perfectly.

I got the inspiration for the skirts from Pinterest

Marriage Officer

Our marriage officer was Pastoor Freddie Pruis of Christ Gen Ministries in Parow.

My Captured Moments

Our photographer was Melissa Naude.

I first met Melissa when she did our engagement shoot in 2016 and we instantly liked her.

We liked how she shot things and the fact that she sees things that you couldn’t even imagine.

Food & Cake

The food was prepared at the Golf Club by their in house chef. We got so many compliments about our wedding meal.

The cake was baked by a very close friend of mine who has her own baking company, Peace of Cake.

It was 3 tiered. The bottom tier was a chocolate mousse, the middle tier, an orange sponge with the top tier a carrot cake. The cake was draped in butter icing and finished off with hand made succulents

Wedding Stationery

My husband is a graphic designer and he designed all our stationary. From the wedding invites right down to the menus, the gift bags with seeds in and the table seating plan!

The Reception and Entertainment

We decided on a DJ for our wedding and chose one of the many talented DJ affiliated with the DJ Dean SA group.

Our opening dance was a salsa number.

My husband loves to dance and has been involved in Salsa Dancing for many year
