My wedding day was the best day of my life.
I have always dreamed of my wedding, I was one of those little girls who spent hours daydreaming about meeting my prince charming, falling in love, designing my dream wedding dress and getting married and living happily ever after.
I was lucky to meet my Prince so young Tony and I met in 2004 and dated for about 2 months as long trying we were two different he was 16 and I was 13 who can be committed so young they normally say if you love something set it free and if it comes back it's meant to be ... All grown up we started dating again 2010, I started dating Tony and even luckier that as the years went by, we grew closer and closer together.
Tony popped the question on my birthday/Valentine's Day 14 February Saturday night 2015 From that moment, step by step, every one of my dreams for our wedding fell into place. I was incredibly blessed and privileged to work with a wonderful bunch of people who listened and understood our vision for our special day
It was emotional, meaningful and above all it was fun and joyful. I would do it all over again tomorrow if I could. It was very important to us, that everything would be kept very simple with few frills and that the focus of the day would be about celebrating with our loved ones. We wanted our wedding to be different. We used the venue I fell in love with Diamond 4 Estate to celebrate our special day, we laughed and cried big happy tears as we experienced this profound moment accompanied by 175 of our closest friends and family. Our ceremony was short and sweet and spoke deep into our hearts. It was everything I dreamed of and more.
We spent a short while with our photographer and videographer, capturing our gorgeous day at the Mulbarton- Our lady of Lebanon Catholic Church followed in the traditional of the dough placing on the grooms mother house, as there is a lot of meaning to this as tales was told if the dough doesn't fall we will have a long lasting marriage.
We then joined our reception. The reception Venue was so wonderfully decorated in the Peacock theme - Blue, green and purple & white vision I always had. The speeches were a great mix of comical and deep elements, thereafter we were treated to the best Lebanese traditional food we have ever had. I was lucky enough to have the mother of the groom and brother to cater for us.. Our guests are still talking about the food!
We danced our first dance as husband and wife to SafteySuit , "Never Stop (Wedding version)", which was perfectly matched to our journey together. Our dance floor was filled throughout the night.
We have always been told that weddings go by in a flash so we both made an effort to constantly be mindful of the love and magic and the fabulous details that made our special day, it was thanks to the wonderful advice we received, that we both soaked in every moment, taking in the beauty of it all, and have memories that will last a lifetime and more.
I am thrilled to share our experience with SA weddings and enter this exciting competition. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity to share our love and commitment.
