Our wedding journey started before Morne (my husband) and I got engaged... We knew that forever is where we heading to and started our savings so that we can have our fairytale wedding.
On the 3rd of December 2014 Morne asleep me to be his life partner and I said yes! We enjoyed the whole of December just being engaged with no wedding planning or date setting. In January 2015 we became serious with our wedding day planning, because we started on the 3rd of December 2010 and got engaged on the 3rd of December 2014 we wanted to get married on the 3rd of December 2016 that was our initial date. However, the waiting period to become Mr. & Mrs. Scheaffers just seemed too far away and then Morne and I settled on the 27th of February 2016.
Being two individuals with difference in opinions we soon discovered that the planning will not work if we do not work together as a team...
We discussed our wants for our day from the budget, venue to decor, colours to flower type, invitations and layouts.
Morne wanted a water feature and I wanted a chapel we searched for venues that may have either of our "wants" and found Zonnevanger Wedding Venue we met up with Marieki and Xannie and from our arrival at the venue we both knew this was the one...
The venue had everything we both wanted and it was a yes from the start and just to ease our minds we had a look at a few other venues but sign up for Zonnevanger our 1st Choice location...
We secured our date... and then the tough parts began, guest list and who to invite and who not too.
We agreed that no children will be attending and that it's close family that knew both of us and our friends that will be invited as this was a celebration of our journey as a couple and not an event that we meet old family members that knowshe neither of us.
Our invitation idea was given from Googlingredients ideas and was put together by minute press...
Our flowers was done by Elaine Petersen my good friendstuff mom and the Protea was one of Morne's likes for his bride to have in her bouquet.
Our favours was found in a little side shop on Woodstock the hearts salt and pepper I thought it would be cute to give every female attending one of those.
Our DJ was Llewellyn from Stellenbosch and man did he give our body's a good time!
Our photographer was Krystle she also did anot engagement shoot included in her package.
Our videographer was Moments on Film Neil and Tanya beautiful people, amazing work and people to work with they were so well prepared and captured ever detail even the unplanned.
