DIY Paper Art Flower

Today’s Wedding Do-It-Yourself is all about recycling and everybody knows when you recycle; you automatically save some hard earned cash!

Secret Diary Designs has put together this Fabulous Paper-art-flower gift topper which you can use to decorate your Bridesmaids’ gifts or if you are attending a wedding; to round off the lovely Wedding Gift!

It’s something you will always be able to use and it’s so easy to make!

You will need:

a pencil
ruler
NT cutter
double sided sticky tape
pretty paper

Cut the paper into strips – approx. 2cm wide and 2 different lengths - 12cm/18cm long (these measurements are guidelines – if you want smaller flowers then reduce the width and length)
Make about 8 of each length
Stick a piece of double sided tape on one end of the strips
Fold the strip over so the ends stick together
Do this for all the strips except one
Arrange the paper ‘petals’ in to a flower shape – alternating the big and small ‘petals’
Stick the ‘petals’ together at the point that they touch each other using a piece of double sided tape

To create the centre of the flower – take the spare strip, roll it around a pencil and wrap double sided sticky tape around the outside of it
Place the paper ring in the centre of the paper petals
