Nick and Rene got married on 19 August 2010 and hosted their wedding at the Prestigious Avianto in Gauteng! She adds, “I wanted my guests to make a long weekend out of our wedding celebrations, thus getting married on the Friday.”

Her dream Wedding Theme – Winter Wonderland – won her R5000 worth of Wedding Décor and according to Rene, she loved everything, “It all looked so beautiful; I am very happy with how everything turned out”. She adds, “It was the best day of my life. It was more beautiful than I ever imagined. Everything was perfect and the décor absolutely blew my mind away.”

I was curious, why the Winter Wonderland Theme? She said “Because we were getting married in the winter, I wanted to make it as “Wintery” as possible, that is why I chose no flowers at my wedding. Winter is all about the snow, white branches, fairy lights and ice-blue. To make it more dreamy, I used quotes from Romantic movies; I wanted people to see the beauty of winter and how loving it can be.”
