DIY Box Strips

Today’s Wedding DIY is something so simple, yet beautiful and of course a great idea for your Wedding Favours!
Anel Muller from Paper Shaper has created Box Strips which you cut and paste onto a Matchbox (which is recyclable) – here you can add small ‘Thank you’ Candy for each guest to take home.
It’s inexpensive yet elegant and it’s sure to keep the Midnight-snackers very happy.
Happy Planning!
The SA Weddings Team and Paper Shaper.
- Cutting device of choice (scissors, cutting board and craft knife)
- Ruler
- A4 Paper of choice (we used white shimmer paper)
- Matchboxes
- Glue or double sided tape
- Tissue paper
- Ribbon
- Candy
- Papershaper template
Directions:
Slide the inside "box" out from the cover and remove the matches. Download design supplied by Papershaper on SA Wedding website. Print out the design on your printer. If you used coloured paper you can add another colour to the design.
Cut out the design using the crop marks. Using a glue stick, smear glue all along the edges of the design and stick it onto the matchbox cover. (Double sided tape can also be used as an alternative to glue) Take a piece of Tissue paper and place it into inside box.
Fill with candy.
Slide cover back onto matchbox
Cut off a piece of ribbon, long enough to tie a bow. Can be tied horizontally or vertically over matchbox.
Now you have perfectly cute dressed up matchboxes filled with candy!
