Said Madrie Verwey, Cavendish Square Marketing Manager, “As part of Cavendish Square’s Royal Winter Celebrations, we have hosted a number of exciting events and promotions, and the activities will culminate with the Cavendish Square Royal Bridal Showcase which takes place from 5 to 7 August 2011, throughout the malls at Cavendish Square. There is no entry fee to this premier event.”
The Cavendish Square Royal Bridal Showcase will feature 50 exhibitors and will preview the styles and trends for the coming wedding season. Visitors to the show can expect to meet incredibly talented trend-setters from the bridal industry including wedding fashions, wedding venues, photographers, deejays, transport, stylists, venues, florists, cake designers, and much, much more.”
Said exhibition coordinator, Jeannie Retief-Pretorius from Cream Event Library, “Cavendish Square is the perfect venue for this boutique style wedding fair and we have selected only the crème de la crème of wedding suppliers for the show. Some of the highlighted exhibitors for the show include top local bridal wear designers, such as Paul van Zyl, wedding function venues such as Rhebokskloof, Jonkershuis, and Lanzerac Hotel and Spa, top local photographers and videographers, stationery suppliers, and leading hair and make-up artists.”
Added Verwey, “In celebration of the Cavendish Square Royal Bridal Showcase, we’re giving away a wedding dress valued at R20 000 courtesy of PAUL VAN ZYL and ELEGANCE FABRICS situated in Cavendish Square.”
The lucky winner will be able to select the fabric for her dress from ELEGANCE FABRICS in Cavendish Square, who offer the finest fabrics in the world for home sewers or professionals. The prize winner will then be able to have the dress custom designed by one of South Africa’s leading designers, PAUL VAN ZYL, who has been making brides look gorgeous for nearly two decades.
Paul van Zyl has become a household name in the South African fashion industry. This former Maths teacher, embarked on a career in fashion some 17 years and has never looked back. Paul has sown couture collections at Cape Town and Johannesburg Fashion Weeks for six years running and he has participated in the South African Designer Collections for a number of years, often shown his collections at the Nederburg Wine Auction Fashion Shows. His designs have been on the front covers of many leading South African fashion Magazines and his designs feature regularly in bridal magazines.
