Interview Feature: Sweefilm

Sweefilm (formerly Mandelbrot) is a wedding videography service that mainly serves the South
African wedding industry but also has an international stretch.
What do you have to offer brides-to-be out there?
We try to counter the stigma that wedding videos are cheesy, nostalgic and consequently boring.
During our eight years of existence, we've produced more than 400 wedding videos and have been
able to figure out what works and what doesn't. The proof resides in the proverbial pudding, so
it's best to check out our work at www.sweefilm.co.za.
What do you reckon is the one thing that makes your establishment so successful?
It's simple: we keep two fingers on the pulse of our industry. By doing this we ensure that we're
always familiar with the latest, most cutting edge technology and filmmaking techniques.
Combined with our team’s creative flair and obsession with perfection, I think we’ve got something
good going.

Regarding Consultations – what do you offer in terms of this?
We realise that most brides-to-be want to be aware of every aspect of their wedding day. Our
consultations are therefore comprehensive, reassuring and free.
Whether it's at our offices in Roeland Street, Cape Town, over the phone or through a Skype video
conference, we make sure to cover all the bases before proceeding to a booking.
Are you currently taking on any exciting ventures?
Our latest adventure is in the form of a TV magazine show. And it's right down your alley. As much
as we want to tell you however, we're sworn to secrecy.
Helpful tip
Make sure your videographer makes use of at least two cameras and that their audio equipment is
up to scratch. Built in-camera microphones just don’t cut it.
