Quick & Easy Smokey Eyes

What is not to love about the Always Beautiful Smokey Eye – it suits every eye shape and when applied correctly really makes your whole face pop!
Joleta Keane has taken the time out of her very busy schedule to bring our Brides-to-be a step-by-step guide on how to (correctly and Beautifully) apply Smokey Eye Make-up – using the correct techniques and brushes; which according to her, “ is vital in achieving the perfect look.”

I'm starting with white shadow on the entire lid. For this look I'm using a shimmer, but this can also be done with matt if you prefer.

I’m applying my darkest colour on the entire lower lid, but not above the crease line. For a more intense look, use black shadow as your darkest colour.

I’m using a medium colour to blend the darkest colour into the lightest colour. The secret to a beautiful Smokey Eye is Blending, Blending, Blending. Using the right brushes is also vital for perfect results.

When applying eye-liner, there are a few options. You can use liquid liner, dark eye-shadow, gel liner or pencil. I’m using a gel liner from M.A.C, Blacktrack. This liner dries quickly and is not really a liner to blend. It’s perfect to use when making flicks. **Please keep in mind that it’s very important to use the correct brush in order to achieve the perfect results.

For my Smokey Eye today, I want to blend my liner, so I am adding black pencil just over the top edge of my existing eye-liner, which I can blend.
Using my eye-liner brush, I blend my black liner for a softer finish.
Apply liner just below the eye, starting from the outside corner, moving toward the inner corner. I’m using the same medium colour that I used to blend my Smokey Eye with. To intensify the eye, enhance the line at the bottom with black eye-liner.
Be sure to line as close to the lashes as possible.
With a soft eye pencil, line the inner rim of the lower lid.
To finish off the Smokey Eye, apply mascara to the lashes. For a more dramatic look, one can add false lashes.
Voilà!!! Your quick & easy Smokey Eyes!
Until Next time!
